Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts impressive online presence
The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile backers when she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and holds ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to compete, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, especially among youth audiences.
Kai maintains a massive following and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
