Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.
For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's new record, the new release, is out on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I won't push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was still Forest coach.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I will choose the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.
A family member advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel the home manager's side pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have have plenty of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.
Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their performance in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
