The winter break present a multitude of activities much better than scanning the headlines: unwrapping gifts, feasting on delicious food, and employing patience techniques to refrain from snapping at family members. It is wished you succeeded in accomplish all these things and more. That said, the entertainment world doesn't go on vacation, and this is notably true for the realm of anime. The One-Punch Man Series Its Third Season Is Set to Continue (Come 2027)

Truly the biggest announcement, the much-discussed troubled production that was the third season of One-Punch Man proved insufficient to stop the series' continuation. The show will return with a second cour in 2027—such a distant date they might as well have labeled it season 4. Adding to the surprise, the studio J.C. Staff will remain in charge. Thankfully this time, director Shinpei Nagai is attached to direct from the start, which might be a good sign. However, the promotional image for the continuation is the same image the one used for season 3, just with protagonists Saitama and Garou facing different directions. This makes me think that, nowadays, they are probably mocking the fans.

The Ruri Dragon Series Is Poised to Be the Premiere Shonen Jump Anime Produced By Kyoto Animation

Kyoto Animation has forged a name for being an elite animation studio, making its mark not just for the superb artistry of its work but for the fair treatment of its employees—a sadly unusual standard in the industry. Curiously, until now, it had not adapted an anime stemming from a manga published in Shonen Jump, arguably the best-known magazine in the business. Ruri Dragon will break that tradition, and what a great choice it is. The manga by Masaoki Shindo achieved massive popularity when it debuted in 2022 after just a handful of installments, but then went into a lengthy break due to the author's health issues. When it returned with a lighter schedule, the series proved it maintained the fans' affection and enthusiasm, and now the community is overjoyed about the forthcoming KyoAni adaptation.

Kingdom Season 6 Has a Sequel In Production

Kingdom is the top-selling, decades-spanning Shueisha manga that is aside from One Piece. If you've are unfamiliar with it before, it's because it only recently got an English translation, but the anime has been running for years, and season 6 was yet another stellar entry. As it happens that was just the first cour, because a "sequel" has been revealed as currently being made, and it will almost certainly premiere in 2026.

Science Saru Is Bringing A Witch in Mongolia To Anime

A further studio known for the excellent quality of its productions, Science Saru has given us masterpieces of the quality of Space Dandy, Devilman Crybaby, and, lastly, Dandadan. This time, the studio will be producing the adaptation of Tomato Soup's manga A Witch's Life in Mongol, which is based on the actual historical person of Fatima, an influential woman and scholar in the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Based on the trailer, the anime titled Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will have a distinctly fresh and intriguing visual style, which is somewhat reminiscent of Ranking of Kings. Set to premiere in July 2026, this one will without a doubt be on my must-watch list.

The Tougen Anki Series Is Set to Continue With a Second Season

Right after the release of its twenty-fourth episode, it was confirmed that Tougen Anki will be securing a second season. Adapted from the Japanese legend of Momotaro, Tougen Anki is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara. The second season of the anime will delve into the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, but a specific release date has not yet been announced.
